GoDaleks is a free online recreation of the classic Daleks game from the Apple Macintosh — itself a descendant of the legendary BSD UNIX Robots game. Outwit the Daleks on a 50×33 grid: every step you take, the killer robots march one step closer, so lure them into crashing into each other and into the piles of scrap they leave behind. No download required — just click and play.

How to play Daleks

• Move in any of the eight directions; the Daleks always advance toward you.
• Make them collide — two Daleks that meet are destroyed and leave a pile of scrap that wrecks any Dalek that touches it.
• Teleport to a random square to escape a tight corner (but you might land somewhere worse!).
• Sonic screwdriver — zap the Daleks around you for a limited number of uses per level.
• Last Stand — when you have nowhere left to run, hold your ground and let the Daleks charge in.
• Clear every Dalek to advance; survive the Dalek Emperor to win.

About GoDaleks

This Daleks game is built in Go with the Ebitengine game engine and compiled to WebAssembly, so it runs natively in the browser as well as on Windows, Linux, and macOS. It is a faithful, fast, retro strategy/puzzle take on the classic robot-chase genre. The source code is open on GitHub.
